Cassy, parent of three
“The social side of Playcentre has meant the world to me as a stay at home Mum who was going through some tough times early on.”
Cassy first visited Playcentre when she attended SPACE with her first born who was diagnosed at birth with Down Syndrome and a heart condition. She was worried about going out in public and feeling welcome. She soon realised the Playcentre environment was a space she could relax in and form amazing friendships.
Cassy loves that there is always so many new play opportunities for the children – whether it be an art activity or obstacle courses, volcanoes in the sandpit, a shop to sell morning tea, and pizza making. “The children love Playcentre and can’t wait to go every week. It’s like a home away from home.”
“I always thought Playcentre might be too much work, but in fact it is just a bunch of parents working hard to give their children a fun, safe and exciting environment for learning and playing with friends old and new.”
