Natalie, parent of four

“Playcentre has helped me realise how much as parents we can teach our kids and how much they learn through play. My children love the outdoors, exploring, learning and creating. I credit a lot of this to the great environment they spent their preschool years in!”

Natalie has four children who have all attended Playcentre. She first joined Playcentre with her eldest, through the SPACE program, as a way to meet people as they had recently moved to Mount Maunganui.

When her son turned two, Natalie had twin girls and that is when Playcentre became her haven!! “Getting out the door was hard with three under two but I could walk to the Playcentre and my busy toddler could explore in a fenced in area with other caring parents watching if I was busy with two new babies. We started attending three sessions a week and I loved that there was always somewhere fun for them to play even with all their different interests”. 

With an interest in early childhood learning, Natalie soon embraced all the free education on offer through Playcentre. She now runs home-based childcare part time, thanks to the education and first aid courses she completed through Playcentre.
